Thank Heaven for Little Boys

I always thought I wanted a baby girl first. Those cute flower bows and tights were just so enticing. After having my darling little boy, I am absolutely in love and couldn't imagine it any other way. In fact, I am hoping for another boy next. Max is on a pretty strict schedule of eat, play, sleep every 3 hours. But not too strict that we aren't flexible if we need to be. He takes his naps at 9 a.m., 12, and 3. He usually goes to bed around 7p.m. and wakes up for the day around 6 or 7 a.m. He is still waking up every 2 to 3 hours at night *yawn*.

He eats 4 to 6 ounces every 3 hours and weighs almost 18 pounds! My arm muscles are stronger than they have ever been. Lugging him around all day is such a workout. We are working on rolling over, tummy time, and grabbing toys. He is a pretty content and chill baby most of the time. He is so smiley, but whenever I whip out my camera he gives me this Mr. Serious face. He is just like his dad. I can't get him to smile for the camera for the life of me. No matter how big a fool I make of myself, he just stares at me like, " Mom, get that camera out of my face."

I have found my niche in being a mother. I always want a baby on my hip. My heart just aches for another sweet baby, and I am pining for #2. Dan is satisfied with Max right now, and thinks I am crazy for wanting another kid so soon. But I am no spring chick and if we want a big family we gotta get a move on it!

I had to add this picture to show off his adorable chub.

I just die over those chubby cheeks and double chin. He is delicious. (Imagine me behind the camera making all sorts of funny faces, jumping around, and singing. Yeah, he's not amused.)

Finally, a new post. I was getting so sick of seeing myself cleaning the toilets.

I had the same (yet opposite) feelings as you with Maeva. I always wanted a boy first & wasn't sure what to think about having a girl, but as soon as I met her I too couldn't imagine it any other way & I too want another girl. It's good we are not the ones in charge isn't it?
P.S. Max is getting so big & cute.

That is exactly how I felt after having Zach, only I'm so glad we got a girl next! I wanted another one right away, but couldn't get pregnant until a few months after I had stopped nursing. Oh, well. I guess they come when the timing is right! He is a darling boy!

he's darling!! I had my first two 17 months apart and it was fun! I feel bad cause I wasn't totally there being so sick with the second when my first was doing all his firsts and was still such a baby himself. Then waited 3 years to have my baby now, I think we will wait till about 15 months to start trying again...so they are still close...but that I get to remember and enjoy everything that first year cause its really the biggest year of their life! Good luck with whatever happens...and in all honesty they will come when they come! Your such a cute mom!!

I always wanted a boy first so I was thrilled when Dallas came. And then I wanted another boy-since they were going to be so close in age and when we had Wes I was so happy! Now that we're on baby #3, I didn't really care what we're having, but once again, I was so happy that it was a boy. Guess we really can't "order" what we want. :) Boys are wonderful. I hope to have a girl someday, but I sure love my boys.
