Best Weekend Eva

This weekend was possibly one of the best weekends of my life. My sweetheart and I celebrated our 7th year wedding anniversary. We went out on a dinner date sans baby, laughed, held hands, and realized how very much in love we are. There have been good years and bad years. In fact, I would never want to re-do the first 3 years of our marriage. They were times of trial and testing. We are both very stubborn and sassy. Now, we have each other somewhat figured out. Everything isn't always perfect, but we are perfectly imperfect together.
On our anniversary, we went to Neighborhood Services for dinner, and the oddest/coolest thing happened. When we were finished, and ready to pay, the waitress said that someone had called ahead of time and anonymously taken care of our dinner. What the?!!? It was the best surprise! We still haven't figured out who it was. (If it was you, fess up so we can properly thank you.)

Saturday we went to cupcake camp. Several different cupcake vendors got together in the ballroom of a ritzy country club and served up over 50 different cupcake flavors. Are you drooling yet? It was every bit as amazing as it sounds. We got to try over 12 different cupcakes. My favorites were the chocolate chip cookie dough, and peanut butter and jelly ones. I am still a 10 year old at heart. :) Dan's palate is slightly more sophisticated than mine. His favorite was the jalapeno lime. Yuck.

Max was in cupcake heaven.

He couldn't stop looking at the cupcakes. Most of the pictures we got of him were of the back of his huge head.

Dan at the Yelp booth. He is an elite yelper. We don't go anywhere around here without yelping it first. Don't know what yelp is? Go HERE

Today is Easter Sunday, and I am completely disappointed that I am sitting at home sick again, missing church. Dan's on his pediatric rotation and brings home all the diseases from the hospital. Oh joy.

We can't forget that Jesus is the reason for the season. I am so grateful that he died for our sins so that we can return and live with our Heavenly Father again one day. I feel so thankful for my blessings. I am living the dream of being a wife and mommy.

Can you tell that we all look a little more rested than usual!? CIO method has been a complete success and I will update all about our progress next week.
