Slip extenders- genius

First a quick update on Max, cause what's a blog post without writing about my cute little man?

Max is very close to walking on his own. Any day now he will take off and be running around our house. I can't wait. He is a wiggly worm and doesn't like to sit still, unless he's tired and then he will snuggle on my lap, which is my favorite. He says, "cat, cat, cat" almost all day long. "Cat" was his first word. It cracks me up.

Look at him trying to escape, silly little boy.

"Put me down mama, there are cats to chase!"

Onto the slip extenders.

I have an addiction to dresses and skirts, and would wear them all the time if I could. Lately, it seems like the style is getting shorter and shorter, eliminating a lot of clothes that I could wear. So, I ordered a slip extender on etsy and absolutely love it. When I received the slip, I realized how easy they would be to make, so I sewed a few in different fabrics and colors. Just buy a slip, cut about three inches off the bottom of the slip (depending on how long you want the slip to be). Then sew on whatever fabric or lace you like to the bottom of the slip making the length longer and modest. This has opened up a whole new world for my wardrobe. I am sure Dan is ecstatic about that. Haha! Now I can wear whatever dress or skirt I want. Genius.

you should make these slip extentions and sell them! If there not crazy expensive i may be interested. I down know how to sew so it would be interesting if i made one myself!

I love the dress you are wearing in your photos! Is that the extender you are talking about (the white on the bottom)? Very pretty, as always ;)

Jill, you could make one for sure! It's very simple. They are kinda expensive on Etsy but if you don't have time to make one, or don't want to, they are worth the money!
Denise- yes that is a slip extender under my dress. Thank you so much! The dress is from Forever Twenty One- $15!
