Oh what a difference 3 weeks have made

Here I am at 19 weeks. I have really "popped" since 16 weeks! At 5'3, with a short torso, there is no where for baby to go but out. I am also really sticking my stomach out in this picture! I love my new belly and feel more and more pregnant each day.

I wanted to record some of my thoughts on this pregnancy. I have been lucky to not have to deal with many of the common symptoms that I know a lot of women struggle with. The first 3 months were a little difficult, but I very rarely had morning sickness. I was extremely tired and slept most of the time. I did get heart burn and indigestion really bad the first trimester, but this 2nd trimester has been a breeze! I have had lots of energy and not too many symptoms at all.

The first 3 month, I broke out really bad, especially on my chin. Which was not fun. I felt like a teenager again! Now it has gone away somewhat, but my skin has been more sensitive overall. My biggest daily battle since the beginning has been constant hunger. I am ALWAYS hungry! I could eat all day and night, easily, and never feel satisfied. This has been a struggle because I have never had to deal with being so starving all the time. Sometimes I feel like my days revolve around food, and I make plans around when I can eat next! I am trying to keep my eating under control, but it has not been easy. I try to eat as healthy as possible so as not to put on too many extra pregnancy pounds, (and for the baby of course), but it is a daily battle.

The weight gain is a whole other issue. Some days I do better than others. When I see the changes in my body, I am not going to lie, it has not been easy. But, I try to keep it all in perspective and stay positive. Two days ago, I took a trip to Destination Maternity and got some skinny jeans, a skirt, and some shorts. Before I was doing the old squeeze into my regular size pants and keeping them up with a rubber band trick. That got old and uncomfortable fast. I can fit into most of my pre-pregnancy tops, so I have been wearing some of those. However, I don't want to stretch them all out, so I did by some looser tops at the cheap teeny-bopper stores like Charlotte Russe and Forever 21.

I feel the baby kick and have since about 15 weeks now. He is an active little guy. He likes to kick most at night right before I fall asleep. Each little jab is a reminder of the special blessing growing inside of me. I sure do love him so much already.

Last night some friends invited me to see the Sleeping Beauty ballet. We had a great time!

I think you look great! I saw the sleeping beauty ballet in Fort Worth back in April. I thought it was good too.

Congrats on having a boy! I was a tiny bit sad by not having a girl first, but every second with Zachary has been bliss. I just hope that someday when (not if!) we get a girl, she has her brothers darling curls!

You look great! I hope everything is going well for you!

Oh Lindsey congratulations on the BLUE! How wonderful. And you look so cute with a very little bump! I am excited for you. I love my little grandsons. I only got to enjoy one boy of my own. But he keeps me busy! Bring on the dirt and cars and noise and scouting stuff etc etc.
