Love Letter

**Warning** this post is very very cheesy. (Maybe it's the pregnancy hormones, but lately I have gotten very sappy.)

Dear Dan,

Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary! Wow! 6 years already, the time sure does fly by. It seems like just yesterday we were both in high school playing the crazy dating game. A lot has happened since we first met in chemistry class my sophomore year at Lone Peak high school. We dated a few years after we first met, you went on a mission, I went to college, you came home and we were married 9 months later. It sounds so simple, but it was kind of a miracle we tied the knot on April 22, 2004. We were so different and young at that time. But I am eternally grateful everything worked out, and now we are expecting our first child together! You will be such a wonderful father.

6 years ago exactly today was the day before our wedding. I remember driving over to your house that night. We had both been busy packing all day, and finishing the last minute wedding details. I came in, and we both quickly became very pre-occupied with packing, and getting ready for the next day. All of the sudden you stopped, sat down, pulled me onto your lap and looked me in the eyes. You said, "All I want to do is make you happy. I am so glad you will be my wife tomorrow." You have patterned our marriage after this night. Life gets busy and hectic, but you never forget to wrap your arms around me, and tell me you love me and only wish for my happiness.

Thank you for adoring me. Thank you for telling me I am beautiful every day, and sometimes several times a day. You tell me I am pretty in the morning just after I have woken up, or at night after a long day when I look like a hot mess. The best part is, I totally believe you. I know you think I am beautiful, and love me for who I am. Thank you for loving me, even with all my flaws. You are my best friend, and I can't imagine life without you.

6 years ago, I was such a silly, immature girl. How did I make the most important decision of my life so wisely? Some would say good luck, but I know what is was. The man upstairs chose you for me, and now I know why. There is no way in my 21 years of age I would have been mature enough to choose such an amazing spouse. I am so glad Heavenly Father led me to you. I think you are perfect, and could go on and on with a list of things I love about you. Hopefully, I show you how much I love you enough.

Having "a song" sounds so trite, but every time I hear this song, In My Life by The Beatles, I think of you, because, in my life I have loved you more.

There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

Love,
Your sweetie

This is such a beautiful tribute. It not only says wonderful things about my little boy but speaks volumes about the person who wrote it and her ability to be sensitive, loving and grateful. I am so proud of both of you and the life you have made for each other. I know it isn't always an easy one but I think you can get through anything together! We love you both so much.
