Iron and Wine

Dan here again, I had a really sweet time at a concert recently. The band is called Iron and Wine, one of my favorites. I got there really early and felt like a real loser waiting around for so long. But I wanted to be first in line so I braved the harsh cold alone for a while. In the midst of my suffering, however, alone on the concert venue front doorway, out of nowhere walks the lead singer from the band, Sam Beam. I mean I was freakin out. I didn't know what to say. He just came out for a smoke and was like, "Sup man?" Well I was excited to say the least but I played it cool. I chatted with him about playing on Letterman and about his beard, which is awesome obviously, and about the guitars he plays. After a little while, another kid came by and got a picture for me. So, it was all worth the wait. The concert was great and I was a happy camper. PS, I got around to reading Tammy's blog and I am freakin jealous of her getting to meet Mr. James Taylor, that guys a legend. This was my attempt to meet greatness. I keep telling Lindsey that someday I want Paul McCartney to come to my birthday party and jam with me on the guitar. Probably won't happen but I can dream.

So Dan-
Now I know your top birthday request. I'll see what strings I can pull (none that I currently have...) to make your wish come true!
Love, Linda
