This month has been a good month. I have stayed very busy planning, and working on decorating for a stake Enrichment activity coming up in March, which I love to do because I love to decorate, but it does take a lot of time. Dan's mom, Sue, came to visit last weekend and we had a stupendous time hanging out and relaxing. I owe her a huge thank you because I put her to work. She helped me with decorating and painting projects for Enrichment.
It is getting even warmer here, which is always great in my book. Dan and I are planning a romantic get away trip to Austin in a couple weeks and I am counting down the days until we go. I once heard that you should give yourself something to look forward to everyday. Good advice. Today was a great day because I ordered 5 boxes of Samoa girl scout cookies and one box of thin mint cookies and they came today. I don't like the thin mint cookies though, they are for Dan. Something about mint and chocolate mixed makes me think of toothpaste in my chocolate. Not very appetising. Anyway, I have almost eaten an entire box of the Samoa cookies just today. Where is my self control? I better pace myself or these bad boys aren't going to last for much longer.
For Valentines Day, Dan and I saved our shekels and splurged big time by going out to a fancy pants restaurant called Three Forks. Sometimes I don't think we should spoil ourselves like that because it's hard to go back to our regular, affordable restaurants after tasting such fine dining.
Hope all is well for all of you!

A time to celebrate
Today I want to celebrate my beautiful twin sister, Ashley. She gave birth to a little baby boy last night and I could not be any more proud of her. Baby Cade was born early and is now in the NICU. He is having some minor problems and Ashley is being so brave and positive. She is a strong, amazing women, and I am so lucky to have her as my sister! I am sad I can't be there to hold her hand, tell her I love her, and see her beautiful baby boy. I love you Ashley. You and baby Cade are in our thoughts and prayers. Pictures of my cute nephew will be coming soon!
Cade Michael Jaten, 6 lbs 3 oz. 18 inches. Born 2/10/09, 8:35p.m.

Hey, you...

(This is a joke, I would never really hurt an animal!)
I got the picture from a friends blog and thought it was funny. Anyway, I don't hear from you all as much anymore, and I miss my fellow bloggers and family. :) Also, any people stopping by that I don't know, only knew in high school or college, or just met once, please comment. I would love to look at your blog and get to know you too! Don't be shy, I won't think you are weird, promise.
