Man's best friend

Ever since I was a little kid, I have been wanting a dog so badly. I am a HUGE animal lover! When Dan and I were first married we had a kitten named Milo and a sugar glider (a flying squirrel) named Frodo. Dan hated Milo and it was so hilarious because, of course, Dan was his favorite person. But sadly, we had to get rid of our little pets because we became resident assistants of our apt. complex and we couldn't have animals anymore. I have been begging Dan for a pet since then, and he has been a little reluctant because Milo ruined him. Now Dan hates cats because of Milo, but he was kind of a naughty little kitty. Usually, Dan tells me, "What sweety wants, sweety gets." So I could have gotten another animal when we moved out of those apartments, but I wanted him to be as equally excited about having an animal as me.

I have been gone traveling a lot this summer, leaving Dan here at home alone. And he sure has gotten lonely and he decided we needed a little friend. Now Dan wants a dog too!! Hooray! Dan is starting to realize how lonely I will be while he is in medical school so he really wants to get me a cute little dog. Dan has his heart set on these English Bulldogs:

They are really cute...when they are babies.
Dan would beg to differ, but I don't really think they are that cute as adults.

Although I love big dogs, I want a small dog for now 'cause we will be living in an apt. for a little while longer. I also want a friendly, good natured dog. Neither of us know much about dogs, and we need a little help deciding so we don't end up with a mean or yappy dog. What do you guys think we should get?

What happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas...it goes on the blog!

My partners in crime.

The resort where we stayed was breathtaking.

No vacation is complete without palm trees.

Dinner with Uncle Kerry.

We all had an amazing time in Las Vegas. I have been looking forward to this trip for so long, and can't believe it is over. We definitely did our part in helping boost the economy. We went on a three day shopping spree and spent money like it was going out of style, and we enjoyed every last second of it! Our husbands were happy we didn't drag them along with us on the all girls shopping trip. My husband would have wanted to shoot himself, especially when he found out some of the malls didn't close until midnight. He was baffled at how we could shop from 10:30 a.m. to midnight (straight, with no breaks, except for dinner). We shopped 'til we literally dropped. We dined ourselves silly and saw a fabulous Cirque Du Soleil show, KA. This show was incredible and definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I don't know how those performers did what they did. They were moving, twisting, flipping and bending like Gumbis.
The trip went rather smoothly, although we did lose a few items. Ashley left one of her entire shopping bags somewhere along the way, and even though we re-traced our steps we couldn't find the missing bag. My mom lost a pair of sunglasses, which also were never found, and I dropped my cell phone! Luckily Someone turned it in and they just called my husband today to let us know they were mailing it to us.
Ashley had to leave Saturday night, but my mom and I got to enjoy some R and R poolside on Sunday before heading home. I drove with my mom, and it didn't even seem that long because I got my mom's undivided attention for about 12 hours and I was loving the mommy- daughter time. Thank you mom for treating us to this much needed vacation. We had so much fun, we are making this a yearly tradition.

HaPpY fAtHeR's DaY

I LOVE my dad!!! He is one of my very best friends.

The influential father's in my life, my dad and grandpa. (And my very beautiful mother:)

The Walker family enjoying dinner at Tepanyaki's for Father's Day.

Are you sure you don't want kids yet Dan???

The future father of my children! My husband is going to be an amazing father one day. He really wants a baby girl first, which I think is so cute because usually guys want boys, but Dan is so excited to have a little girl. He is so sweet and thoughtful, he tells me all the time that when we have babies he will take them whenever I need a break. I hope our future kids are lucky enough to get your genes, babe!

Happy Father's Day!
Dad, you always make me feel special. I am really lucky to have you as my dad. And Dan appreciates you letting him win at golf, it really boosts his ego. Dad Walker, thanks for always making me feel like part of the family and being Dan's biggest fan. We love you guys and appreciate all you both do for us.

Arizona

I have been enjoying a wonderful vacation in sunny Arizona for the past few days!

Ashley and Capri at In 'n Out Burger.

Emerson filling up the pool so we can take a swim to cool off from the hot, hot weather. We slathered him in what he calls "sunburn". No Emerson, it's sunscreen to prevent a sunburn. But he kept saying to me, "Look, (or yook 'cause he can't say L's) I have sunburn all over me."

Us at the zoo, and the little monkey's sleeping, they were so tired.

Capri always pulls her hair out, but not all the way and she looks like Cindy Loo Who. She was a very tired Cindy Loo Who in this picture. We wore her out with all the FUN we had all day!

Me by a couple of cacti in their front yard, I really thought they were cool.

I have the best twin sister in the world. For her Mother's Day present she asked her hubby to fly me out to Arizona to visit. We had so much fun swimming, going to the zoo, getting pedicures, shopping, going to movies and out to dinner. I came home to cold, rainy weather, and am having sun withdrawls, (not to mention Emerson and Capri withdrawls). I miss them so much already and have started planning my next trip to see them again. Love you guys, thank you so much!
