Christmas Tag

Normally I don't do tags, but this one is about Christmas and I love Christmas, so I couldn't pass it up.

1. Egg Nog or Hot chocolate? Hot chocolate. I have had a cup of hot chocolate almost every night this month. I like "the works" (threw that in for all you office fans) I put in lots of marshmallows, whipped topping and sometimes a couple scoops of ice cream. I love hot chocolate.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Both.

3. Colored lights on a tree/house or white? I have white lights on my tree and since I live in an apartment, I have no outside lights. But when I have a house, white.

4. Do I hang mistletoe? Never have, but maybe I should hang one above our front door so I can get a big smooch every night from Dan when he comes home. Oh, wait, I already do, so who needs mistletoe?

5. When do I put up my decorations? Usually the day after Thanksgiving, but this year a little earlier since we are leaving to Utah and I wanted to enjoy my decorations longer.

6. What is my favorite holiday dish? I love ham, deviled eggs, shrimp plates, cheese balls, gingerbread, chocolate oranges, oh and the BEST, hickory farms sausages with cheese, ahhh so gooood!

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child? Waiting at the bottom of the stairs for my parents to get up so we could go unwrap our presents. I loved it when my mom turned on Christmas music up stairs because then we knew they were ready for us to come up!

8. When and how did I learn the truth about Santa? I don't really know when I first learned, I think I just kind of gradually knew. But I wasn't sad at all.

9. Do we open a Christmas gift on Christmas Eve? Not usually, but sounds like a fun tradition to start.

10. How do I decorate our tree? I kind of do it different every year and I am sure I always will change it every year. I like to change my style. This year it's bright green and red with polka- dots and stripes and lots of sparkles as a theme.

11. Can I ice skate? I have only gone a couple times, and it was really fun.

12. Can I remember my favorite gift? This is a hard one, because there are so many.

13. What is the most important thing about the holidays for me? Feeling the Christmas spirit. I think Christmas should be about more than just Santa, and presents. I think it is important to remember the true meaning of Christmas. And Christmas decorations, music, and being with family!

14. What is my favorite holiday dessert? Everything except pecan pie, I just don't care for the stuff. Actually, I don't like pie in general.

15. What is my favorite holiday tradition? Dan and I always try to do something that has to do with Christmas every week for the whole month of December to help us get into the Christmas spirit. We go to see lights, see the Nut Cracker, wrap presents while listening to Christmas music, and put up our Christmas decorations. There is so many fun things to do during Christmas time.

16. What tops my tree? A polka-dot bow and I super glued a Christmas bird in the middle.

17. What do I prefer - Giving or receiving? I love both. I love getting things for people and seeing how excited they are to unwrap their present. I also love wrapping presents, it's my form of art. I love to deck the presents out and make them look really pretty.

18. What is my favorite Christmas song? Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire.

19. Candy Canes? I don't have real ones, but I decorate the house with cute fake ones.

20. Do I feel Christmas is too commercialized? Ya, I guess it could be considered too commercialized. I think Christmas is what you make of it. If you let that bother you, then you are making the choice to focus on the negative. I don't mind it at all, in fact I like going into stores and seeing Christmas all around.

I tag everyone.
