The results are in....

The results are in and a final decision has been made about where we are going to medical school. We better dust off our cowboy boots because we have decided on UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas! By the looks of the poll, this isn't the popular choice, only one person voted for this school. Hope that isn't a bad sign. This was a very, very difficult decision, but after much thought and prayer we know that Texas is the right place for us. It is the best school Dan got into (ranked in the top 20 medical shools in the United States), and the tuition is unbelievably affordable. Also, the cost of living in Dallas is not very expensive either, and we will be able to afford a house. (One of my biggest dreams!) We are very nervous and scared about the big move, and are going to miss our families soooo much. We will be moving this July. I have never lived outside of Utah, and I am hoping it will be good experience for both of us. We just want all of our family and friends to know we love them so much and we really are going to miss everyone.

How exciting for you! Ryan and I are deciding where to move as well and Ryan really likes the sound of Texas because of how affordable it is. We both like that it's warm. I still want to go to L.A but we will see. In answer to your question I am not pregnant. :) I was just curious what people liked for future reference.

How exciting! You know when I moved to Virginia it was the scariest thing I had ever done. But I really put myself out there in my new ward and to my neighbors. Now I don't ever want to leave. This is the happiest place of my life. I know you guys will be very happy where ever you go!

I'm so excited for you to go to Texas! I visit my friend, Alisha, in Houston quite often, and I actually really like it. The summers are crazy, but she makes $13,000 more than I do in our same year of teaching, and her 2300 square foot home was $160,000 new! I flew down there this winter, and we went on walks around a beautiful lake. It was really nice. However, the summers are a different story...yeah for air conditioning and swimming pools!!

we live in texas. and we chose to come here for the same kind of reasons as y'all.

we could by a house, the school is really good, and the cost of living is nice.

and if you aren't vegetarian, there's great bbq everywhere.
